DESCRIPTION:Check websites for hours at each winery. All wineries are closed on Thanksgiving. \nHave you ever asked yourself what wines pair with Thanksgiving dinner?  This is a tricky question. With all the complex yet traditional flavors of the holiday\, picking the perfect wine for your table may be more challenging than you think\, hence how this event came about. \nThe Winegrowers of the Grand River Valley take out all the guessing when it comes to selecting the right wine for your feast.  From Gewurztraminers\, Rieslings and Dry Rosé wines to more non-traditional options like wines infused with flavors of cranberries\, there is something for everyone’s table! \nThis event is hosted during the Fall in November right before the holiday season. The 2024 Turkey Trot will be daily\, in November\, from the 1st to the 27th from 12-5PM at each location. \n\nJoin Debonné Vineyards\, Ferrante Winery & Ristorante\, Grand River Cellars Winery & Restaurant\, Laurello Vineyards\, & Cask 307 Winery for wine sampling paired with the flavors of a Thanksgiving meal. \nPatrons will visit each of the five wineries in any order they choose. Each winery will provide samples of their wines along with a delicious appetizer and recipes. \nCost is $9 per person at each winery on Fridays & Saturdays.  Mid-Week Special Pricing- $7 pp Sunday thru Thursday. Price includes wine samples\, hearty appetizers\, and recipes. Each winery will make a monetary contribution to the local food banks in the area. \n2024 TURKEY TROT MENU: \n-Cask 307 Winery-\n(Closed Wednesdays) \nRoasted Sweet Corn Dip with Sweet Potato Chips \n-Debonné Vineyards- \nButternut Squash Soup with Candied Walnuts \n-Ferrante Winery & Ristorante- \nTurkey Meatball with Cranberry Glaze \n-Grand River Cellars Winery & Restaurant- \nSweet Potato Gnocchi in a Brown Butter Sauce \n-Laurello Vineyards-\n(Closed Monday/Tuesday) \nPumpkin Mousse \n\nTurkey Trot Overnight Packages are available in conjunction with our wine country hotels\, Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn & Suites in Madison. Packages include shuttle transportation for 2 from your chosen hotel to each of the Turkey Trot locations\, 2 pre-paid Turkey Trot tasting passes (2 wine samples & featured appetizer)\, return shuttle to your hotel\, overnight accommodations and continental breakfast the following day.
